Machine Mast Rock Drilling Alleviates Hand and Arm Vibration

The rock drill and mast are coupled to the arm of the machine and operated via a remote control unit attached to the operator’s waist.

Powered by the machine’s hydraulic system and a separate portable compressor, the rock drilling can be carried out free from Hand and Arm Vibration.

The drilling system is very versatile and has the capacity to drill various sizes and depths vertically or horizontally.

Gatwick Rock Drilling

The pictures shown are for works carried out at Gatwick airport where deep concrete had to be removed without excessive noise and vibration due to the close proximity of the North Terminal and other airport constraints.

The concrete was rock drilled with 52mm diameter holes, and hydraulically burst using a mechanical burster to aid removal.
