New hands at the helm.......Released 5/10/10 After many long hours of planning and deliberartion, Manager Tom Holmes finally hung up his blades and retired at the end of September. It was a sad moment for all at DHS and many customers now miss Toms friendly and helpful voice at the end of the phone when they call in. For Diamond Hire and Sales, here starts a new era. A not unfamiliar face is now in the hot-seat, in the form of Richard Fielding. Richard worked in the Diamond Drilling industry, for parent company Castle & Pryor, some fifteen years ago, whilst studying mechanical engineering & business management at the University of Surrey. He has subsequently been involved in a range of interesting projects involving business system implementation, management buy-outs and lean manufacturing. Richard will lead the team at DHS and has many exciting projects on the horizon, which will be of benefit to customers old and new alike. The main focus at the moment is to extend the floor preparation area of the business and provide a wider range of high performance tools to cope with current demand. This will be quickly followed by an online shopping system for the sale of proffessional quality cores, blades, plant and machinery. Watch this space for details..... |
